Toolkits

These toolkits have been developed to aid professionals to better understand and respond to safeguarding concerns. The term professional/s is extensively used throughout the resources when discussing support provided for children and young people. By professional, this refers to anyone who is working in either a paid or voluntary capacity with children, young people, and their families. The term is used to describe someone with the appropriate standards of knowledge, education, or training, who have the necessary skills to perform their intended role to support children, young people, and their families. This includes teachers/school staff, youth workers, social workers, local government workers, charity workers, doctors/nurses/NHS staff etc.
